According to research by Pixability, the longterm benefits of YouTube marketing are fantastic.  The two biggest reasons?  Reason #1: On going delivery of new clients.  Reason #2: Long Tail keywords for SEO.  Say what?  If you're not familiar with long tail keywords, don't worry we'll explain.

First let's look at how YouTube marketing delivers viewers (and hopefully customers) over the short and long term.  Pixability's research demonstrated that approximately 40% of a YouTube video's views come within the first 1 - 3 weeks of a video being uploaded.  This means you can get 'instant' gratification from your video marketing efforts.  By contrast, the research also shows that up to 30% of a YouTube video's view come up to a year later.  This means that the ongoing and longterm benefit of the video is still delivering viewers (and hopefully customers) a year or more after it was first broadcast on YouTube.

Now let's look at long tail keywords.

Long tail keywords are the longer, more specific keywords that are less common, individually, but add up to account for the majority of search-driven traffic.
